Zoom Optix is a company that was created for the customer by the customer. We, like you, were once looking for loupes that were light weight, comfortable, stylish, and most importantly affordable. Unfortunately, this was a difficult combination to come by. So, in early 2012 we decided to create Zoom Optix. Our loupes are nothing shy of exceptional. The clarity of our loupes are on par with any of the major brands that charge two to three times the price. In addition, we only offer the lightest and most comfortable frames on the market.
We would like to tell you a little bit about our philosophies here at Zoom Optix. When you shop at our store you are going to notice that there is a few things we do differently when compared to other loupe companies.
The first thing you may notice is that we only offer a single sports frame. This is because we tested several different frames and unanimously found the Smith Pivlock V90 Max (TM) to be the most comfortable light weight frame on the market. By only offering a single sports frame we are able to provide the loupes at a lower cost.
The second thing you might notice is that we offer over 6 different colors for our single frame. We know that it is frustrating when all you can find is the typical black, blue, red, silver, and the occasional pink frame. Zoom Optix offers a variety of conservative and radical colors to fit the desires of all personalities.
One of the final differences you may notice is the way we price our loupes. Yes, they cost less than some of the other major companies but that is not what we are talking about. We are talking about the pricing difference between the Galilean loupes. We were shocked to find out the price difference between a pair of 2.5x Galilean loupe and a pair of 3.5x Galilean loupe. Most companies are somewhere in the hundreds. Surely it can not cost $100 or $200 more to create what is basically the exact same loupe, can it? The answer to that is, no. There is a slight difference in manufacturing costs however, we want all of Zoom Optix customers to go home happy with the magnification that they choose. We do not want you to have to settle for less because of a large markup on higher magnifications . We want all customers to go home with the magnification that they desire at a price they deserve.
